very level reporting

I don't either way, however the article seems very one-sided and tries to highlight how great HD-DVD is even if the sales numbers don't reflect customer interest.

Personally any studio that doesn't release their products on multiple formats doesn't get bought by me. That or I find alternatives that are cheaper or (to my surprise) there are vendors in Europe and Asia that are releasing titles in both formats that are not being released here. Some are region free while other are not.

So at least I can get Transformers (2007) on Blu-ray or HD-DVD in the UK and not in the US.

Something smells rotten and it isn't the fish.

Michael Bay Eating his own word - Favors Bluray
by GSRich78 October 23, 2007 8:18 PM PDT
In a recent interview with USA Today Michael Bay, talking about
the format war has said,

?It?s short-sighted and it has delayed consumers? moving to HD
(home video). As a director, my critical eye is that Blu-ray is
where my money is.?

I bet he wanted Dolby True HD as his soundtrack of choice for
his movie Transformers but due to the lack of space he had to
settle with Dolby Digital Plus. Ha!

HD DVD needs a hand from Microsoft Xbox 360
by apham79 October 24, 2007 11:08 AM PDT
HD will win this war if Microsoft integrates HD drives into its Xbox 360 and sell them with a cheap price or willing to trade it's old Xbox 360 for a new one with discounted pricing. We already know Xbox 360s outsell PS3.

So I'm curious...why is HD-DVD still losing in sales?

Ouch.

No wonder Blue-Ray out sold HD-DVD at first!!!!!
by jagelipse November 16, 2007 2:33 PM PST
Sony had time to plaster the market with thier Playstation3 that comes with and includes all the things needed to enjoy Blue-Ray movies and games. What did HD have?,XBOX? not quite those didn't come out until Microsoft pulled thier heads out. That is a big reason that we saw such a huge increase in sales after the first quarter, Xbox finally hasd the abiltity of playing those HD dvd's. So don't the let the sprinter fool you into thinking they are going to win a marathon.
