Apple enthusiasts around the country are waiting in line to get their hands on an iPhone, as the highly anticipated device is released on Friday.
In the Boston area, the Apple store at the Cambridge Galleria Mall in Cambridge, is just blocks from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Giant "live" iPhones are on display in the window. A line has formed in the center of the mall. The store looked empty earlier on Friday, except for customers bringing in computers for Apple Geniuses to look at or buying iPods.
"It's business as usual. Everything's going great," said Randy, an Apple store manager who preferred not to give his last name.
