A variety of new models and model updates are on display at the 2008 New York International Auto Show, from a sporty new coupe by Hyundai to a clean diesel Mercedes-Benz SUV and lots of cars with integrated high-tech systems. CNET's Car Tech blog was on hand last week for the press previews and full coverage from the auto show floor; the photos that follow are just some of the highlights. The event is open to the public through Sunday, March 30.
Hyundai is quickly following the introduction of its Genesis Coupe concept from the 2007 Los Angeles auto show with this production-ready version, based on its new Genesis platform. The Coupe will launch as a 2010 model next year with two engine choices, a 212-horsepower intercooled turbocharged four-cylinder and a 306-horsepower 3.8-liter V-6.
