One of the highlights of this year's show was the brief appearance of a U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor in flight over the airfield. The fighter jet, made by Lockheed Martin, is well-armed, but all the weapons are kept tucked inside the sleek airframe in order to reduce its radar signature, thus giving it a good dose of stealth design.
And it's fast: It'll hit 1,140 miles per hour, or Mach 1.72, and has the fuel-saving ability to cruise at supersonic speeds ("supercruise") without firing up its afterburners.
