This shiny dome is a light fixture. The Apollo Light Pipe is designed to be placed on the flat roofs of warehouses and other commercial buildings.

Light comes in through the dome and travels through a pipe below to shine in a building's interior. The company says that even on an overcast day, these natural daylighting systems can use 50 percent less energy than electric lights.
