Unlike most electric space heaters that pose fire hazards, the ECO-heater is made to keep a 12x10-foot room toasty with only 400 watts. Its maker says that costs less than 4 cents per hour, potentially cutting a heating bill in half. And the heater is supposedly 75 percent more efficient than small fan or radiator units. The heater is also said to help alleviate allergies because there's no fan to blow around dust. You can safely paint the convection heater to match the wall color. The company claims installation takes 10 minutes.
