Sony to offer bloatware-free option on more TZ series notebooks

Sony will give even more of its customers the option to just say no to trial software.

Currently available during the configuration process of the Vaio TZ2200, the Fresh Start option will be available on more of the company's TZ series of notebooks, Sony spokesman Jon Piazza told CNET News.com Wednesday.

Fresh Start will not, however, be available on all Vaios, which is what Gizmodo and others are reporting.

Though, you know, that's not a bad idea.

Update: Piazza clarified and said that the option is now available on Vaio TZ2000 and TZ2500.

They simply need to stop including bloatware period

There is no use for nearly 99% of the bloatware on a computer today. Even Toshiba, whose computers I love, have a serious problem with bloatware..... it took me an hour to uninstall all the bloatware out of my new notebook when we got it last year.

Can I get it without Windows? Meaning Linux instead.

I consider Windows bloatware/malware/poor security ware. Can you get these laptops with Linux? It's not just bloatware that needs to stop being loaded on computers automatically. Windows needs to be ONLY an option also. You should be able to pick which OS (even if it is a short list of Linux, Windows). You should have to do anymore work to get Linux or another OS than you do with Windows. Until then I won't be buying from HP.
