Guess they just lost me

I am one of those "Heavy Users". Hey, I followed by their rules, and did only what they said I could do. Now they decide that I should pay more, because I was actually using their product as advertised? I am cancelling today. Not because of the actual increase in price, but more due to the insult. "You are actually using our product as we stated you could? Bad boy, pay more!"

We're normal users but like being able to run to the store to occasionally swap-out a DVD if we forget to return one in time to get another. When the price-hike came up we decided to switch to NetFlix on the spot.

Not sure which brilliant MBA came up with this scheme: it reeks like the work of a bunch of 22 year-old management consultants with a combined 10-minutes of industry experience. Whatever ... I don't care whose dumb idea this is. The Board should sack executive management, roll back the increase, and apologize.

Total Access?

Didn't they just close a bunch of stores?
I'd think it would make more sense for them to push the online channel to increase the number of subscribers without having to invest in brick and mortar locations.

Blockbuster is already dead. What we are seeing is just the spasmodic reflexes of the beast.

Good riddance to the company that made video rental hellish nightmare.

They're spinning into free fall. It's just like Egghead, or Crown
Books. Remember them?

Probably serves them right. During their "growth phase" they set up
locations across the street from mom-and-pop stores and drove
them out of business. Now, why should they expect any sympathy?

Or any trade.
