Ads will be part of a $700 million campaign to inform public that analog TV sets will stop working in 2009 when broadcasts go digital.

LPTV over-the-air
by Christopher Blair October 16, 2007 8:32 AM PDT: Not all TV stations will be going digital upon the February 19, 2009 transition. While the digital transition will see Full Power TV stations required to convert to digital, Low Power TV (LPTV) broadcasters will be able to continue broadcasting in analog.

LPTV stations are used as major network affiliates (ABC, CBS, Azteca America, Univision, etc.)in many markets across America. So while it is true that Full Power stations analog signals will disappear, not so for LPTV, for which no transition date has been established.
