Klaiss spent 15 years at Oracle, most recently serving as senior vice president of applications. Compiere named LaVonne Reimer CEO in February 2006, but she left the company nearly a year ago, a company representative said Tuesday. Klaiss replaces co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Jorg Janke as president. SAP, the king of the ERP market, has expressed doubts open-source ERP rivals will prove a serious threat.
