Electronic Arts settles overtime suit

Electronic Arts, the world's biggest video game maker, said Tuesday that it has settled a class action lawsuit charging the company with owing employees back pay for overtime.

In a press release, EA said it agreed to pay $14.9 million to the plaintiffs in the case.

The suit, filed in 2004, stemmed from employees' allegations that they were required to work long hours and weekends with no overtime compensation. In March 2005, EA said it would begin paying overtime, but the suits still went forward.
