Microsoft sued for patent infringement

Fort Worth, Texas-based Vertical Computer Systems said Friday that it has filed a patent infringement suit against Microsoft. Vertical filed its suit Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Texas, claiming Microsoft's .Net technology infringes on its patent.

A Microsoft representative said that the company had yet to be served with a copy of the lawsuit and said it was premature to comment.

Just another get-rich-quick scheme. The .net has been out for how many years? Now they are sueing. It seems now that anytime a tech company is in financial trouble, they sue MS, hoping for a quick settlement. What a load of crap. I haven't seen any development product that comes anywhere close to the .net framework.

This story lacks any details that could be used to even marginally determine what the essence of this suit is about.

I seriously doubt this company is suing MS for the whole of .net, more likely it's one single part or feature but there's no details to know for sure!
