we went from 1 telephone provider to many, and now we're back to about 4 major ones (for now). TV is the same way.
Where I live (Atlanta), you only have a choice between Comcast and Satellite (unless you live in cox territory, then it's cox and satellite). Soon it will be AT&T, Comcast/Cox and Satellite. So roughly three choices unless the government approves a deal with att and a satellite provider.
It wouldn't be far fetched to believe that in 5 -7 years most people will have 1-2 providers for wireless and TV, more than likely provided by the same 1-2 companies.
didn't you notice that the current administration is all about big business?
