Symantec shields Windows phones, PDAs

Symantec on Wednesday announced Mobile AntiVirus 4.0 for Windows Mobile. The software is designed to protect personal digital assistants and smart phones running the Windows Mobile 5.0 software.

Mobile AntiVirus 4.0 is scheduled to be available beginning Nov. 10 through Symantec's direct sales force, enterprise channel, system integrators and select hardware partners. A new trial license manager will let potential buyers evaluate the software before purchasing it, the company said.
