Week in video: The power of the Web

The Internet took the video spotlight this week with coverage of the Web 2.0 Expo 2008 in San Francisco and a spot in the new documentary Google Me, about a man who traveled the world to meet others with his name.

CNET News.com's Kara Tsuboi talked with filmmaker Jim Killeen, who googled his name and then met six other Jim Killeens. The documentary was to be released in low resolution Friday on YouTube, the same day it makes its debut at a film festival in Southern California.

And from the Web 2.0 Expo, where the Internet is the platform, Tsuboi also takes us on a show floor tour.

Also from the expo, CNET News.com Editor in Chief Dan Farber talks with reporter Caroline McCarthy about how the current Web 2.0 boom remains in limbo.

'Google Me,' the movie

We've all Googled our names, but how many of us have actually wanted to meet our "Google twins"? That's the premise behind Jim Killeen's new documentary, Google Me. CNET News.com's Kara Tsuboi talks with him.

It's not just all about Facebook and Twitter. CNET News.com's Kara Tsuboi takes a spin around the showroom in search of meaningful companies and products.

CNET News.com Editor in Chief Dan Farber and reporter Caroline McCarthy wrap up the Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco and discuss the current Web 2.0 boom and how long it will be sustained.
