Short Take: EMusic to send downloads through retailers

EMusic is teaming with digital rights management provider Supertracks to sell the music Web site's digital music downloads through online music retailers worldwide. The tracks will be made available in the Windows media format this fall. Supertracks provides content protection through digital rights management services based on software developed by Preview Systems. In May, the company announced partnerships with companies including BestBuy.com, CDNow, HMV.com and Virgin JamCast.
